CLARION, Pa. (NOT) — In what experts are calling “an interesting interpretation of constitutional law,” New Bethlehem resident Bob Johnson is leading a grassroots campaign for Trump’s 2028 presidential run, boldly dismissing concerns about term limits as “liberal mathematics.”
“Listen, if you count like a patriot, this is technically Trump’s negative first term,” explained Johnson, who has covered his truck in bumper stickers reading “Trump 2028: Because Two Terms Are For Quitters.”
When reminded that the 22nd Amendment limits presidents to two terms, Johnson produced a carefully crafted theory involving the Constitution being written in invisible ink that only true patriots can see.
“Besides,” Johnson argued while adjusting his “Make Mathematics Great Again” hat, “everyone knows term limits don’t apply if you yell ‘NOT IT’ after each presidency.”
Local constitutional scholars at Redbank Valley High School’s civics class have attempted to explain the concept of term limits to Johnson, but he maintains that “the Deep State invented counting to stop Trump.”
Johnson’s campaign headquarters, currently operating out of his garage, features a hand-drawn chart explaining how Trump’s previous terms “don’t count” because he was “playing president on beginner mode” and 2028 would be “starting the game for real.”
“The way I figure it,” Johnson concluded while stapling Trump 2028 posters to telephone poles, “if we just declare the number three illegal, we won’t have to worry about that whole third term thing.”
At press time, Johnson was drafting a petition to have the number three officially removed from mathematics, claiming it was “suspiciously invented by someone who probably doesn’t even own a pickup truck.”
